The objective of Rae-Helen's vocal tuition is to develop your singing potential and to prevent you from developing bad habits. She effectively identifies and provides solutions for existing problem areas. Backing C.D.’s for songs and MP3 files of singing exercises are provided.
Vocal Tuition
The following fundamentals are covered:
* The implementation of correct breathing (diaphragmatic support)
* The development of smooth transitions over the bridges of the voice
* The development of tone and resonance
* The extension of the vocal range
* The development of a solid vocal technique
* Musical phrasing
* Modification of vowels
* Interpretation of songs stylistically

The repertoire (songs) covered are tailored to meet the student's style preference. Rae-Helen draws from a broad spectrum of songs embracing jazz, musical theatre, standard ballads, classical, folk and gospel.
Rae-Helen also teaches the AMEB syllabus for those students interested in exams. The syllabus offers both a Classical Course and a new "Singing for Leisure" Course which appeals to the contemporary singer and provides a means by which students can be assessed. AMEB results can be used by WA Secondary students for WACE graduation requirements.
Rae-Helen can also prepare students for WAAPA vocal entrance auditions. A theory component during lessons is available on request.
